Richard Jared Morlan

Richard Jared Morlan of Dexter, son of the late William Fredrick Morlan and Mary Louise Simpson Morlan, was born May 6, 1981, in Bellflower, Calif., and died at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis on Dec. 31, 2012, at the age of 31.

Richard is survived by his wife, Amanda Hendrickson Morlan; two sons, Leon and Logan Morlan, all of the home in Dexter; his mother, Mary Morlan of Dexter; three brothers, William (Bill) Morlan of Woonsocket, R. I., Joseph Morlan of Poplar Bluff, and David Morlan of Dexter; one sister, Patricia Morlan of Farmington, Mo.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Dottie Pelfrey. His father died one week following his own death.

A wake was held Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at 2 p.m. at The Exiles in Poplar Bluff with Pastor Bob McDonald officiating.
