Oscar Leo Pullum, son of the late Herbert Milton and Serena Jane McCoy Pullum, was born in Parma, Mo. on Oct. 19, 1933, and died at his home in Essex, Mo. on Dec. 21, 2012, at the age of 79.
He lived in Essex most all his life where he worked as a farmer.
On Sept. 25, 1952, he was married to Myrul Jean Pullum in Bernie, Mo. She preceded him in death on Dec. 6, 2011.
Surviving are four sons, Leon Pullum of Bloomfield, Mo., Richard Pullum of Essex, Mo., James and Tony Pullum both of Dexter, Mo.; one daughter, Kathy Miller of Portageville, Mo.; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Other relatives and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Louise Duncan; four brothers, Andrew, Bill, Lloyd and Floyd Pullum; and four sisters, Martha Williams, Pearl Knupp, Virgie Qualls and Dorthy Wilson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 after 11 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec 28, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Mo. with the Rev. Jerry Wilkinson of Advance officiating.
Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Mo. with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
