Roger Kent Wright, son of Norma Jean Jackson Wright and the late John Allen Wright, was born in Parma, Mo., on Nov. 10, 1959, and died at Missouri Southern Health Care in Dexter on Dec. 3, 2012, at the age of 53.
He had lived most all of his life in the Malden and Parma areas.
Surviving are his mother, Norma J. Wright of Malden; two sons, Quentin Wright and Lamont Dobbins, both of Malden; one daughter, Tatyana Wright of Malden; one adopted son, Cortez Dobbins of Malden; several grandchildren; four brothers, Johnny Wright, David Wright, Michael Earl Wright and Stacy Wright, all of Malden; four sisters, Mary Ann Shaw of Malden, Carol McKinley of Little Rock, Ark., Susan Wright Smith of Little Rock, Ark., and Tracy Wright of Malden; and a special friend, Linda Dobbins of Malden. Many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, John Wright; two brothers, Carl Wright and Terry Wright; and one adopted sister, Regina Thatch.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at the Church of God in Christ in Parma. Funeral services will follow at
12 p.m., at the Church of God in Christ with Elder James Fair of Malden officiating.
Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
