Landon James Wilson, 13, of Advance died Dec. 4, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was born Feb. 8, 1999, at Poplar Bluff, the son of Joni Wilson.
Landon was a student at Parkview State School in Cape Girardeau. He loved being in a pool. He also loved music and being read aloud to. Landon touched the heart of everyone with whom he came in contact.
Survivors include his mother, Joni Wilson of Advance, a brother, Braden Wilson of Advance; maternal grandparents, JoAnn and Don Graham of Bloomfield; maternal great-grandmother, Ruth James of Bloomfield; uncle and aunt, Brent and Dawn Wilson of Advance; cousins, Logan, Hunter, Dalton, Lincoln, and Nyah Wilson; great aunts and uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the chapel with Rev. Ray Placher officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Point Cemetery near Advance. Morgan Funeral Home of Advance in charge of all arrangements.
