BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- A Bell City man is back behind bars this week following an arrest in Texas while out on bond.

Shawn Al Green, 33, was arrested in April 2012, for first degree sodomy. On April 26, 2012, he was released on his own recognizance, with special stipulations, as the case advanced through the system.

Several hearings were continued throughout the year and on Oct. 23, Stoddard County Assistance Prosecuting Attorney Andrew Rehmer filed a motion to revoke Green's probation.

On Oct. 24, Judge Satterfield considered the motion and revoked his probation. A warrant was then issued for his arrest due to "failure to abide." The new warrant allows Green no bond.

On Friday, Nov. 9, Green was arrested in Texarkana, Texas.

A court appearance has been set for Nov. 29 at 9 a.m.

The charges brought against Green stem from interviews with his alleged victim that date back to December 2010. Those interviews involved the Missouri Children's Division and forensic interviewers with the Ozark Foothills Child Advocacy Center in Doniphan, Mo. Allegations of sexual abuse were reported between February 2009 and November 2010, according to the probable cause affidavit obtained from the office of Prosecuting Attorney Russ Oliver.

Green's arrest, according to Oliver, comes following an investigation that has remained open and ongoing since the original allegations, during which time Green did not have access to the juvenile allegedly involved.

A person commits the crime of statutory sodomy in the first degree if he has deviate sexual intercourse with another person who is less than 14 years old.

Missouri law states when the victim is less than 12 years of age, the authorized term of imprisonment upon conviction is life imprisonment or a term not less than 10 years.
