Republican Club awards scholarships

The Stoddard County Republican Club awarded two $500 scholarships to local students Monday night at their meeting. Shown in the picture from left to right are Joy-Lee Ward, Republican Club vice-chairwoman Kristin Bush, and Dustin James. Joy-Lee, the daughter of Michelle Ward, is a graduate of Dexter High School and is planning on attending Baptist Bible Collage in Springfield, Mo. She is planning to be a pre-school teacher. Dustin is the son of Kenny and Susan James, and is a graduate of Advance High School. He is planning on attending Southeast Missouri State University and majoring in Social Studies Education.
