Dexter's Lady Bearcats track team continued its impressive season by winning as the host school Tuesday at the Dexter Invitational own meet
Dexter's boys finished in seventh place.
Taylor Martin was part of four of the Lady Bearcats total of nine first place finishes. the senior won the 100 and 200 and was a member of the winning 4x100 (Martin, Lindsey Hindman, Brooke Baker and Samantha Midgett) and 4x200 (Martin, Baker, Midgett and Courtney Potts) relay teams.
Alexic smith took first in the mile and 2 mile, while Hindman won the long jump and Christina Harris took top honors in the triple jump and high jump.
Other top performers for the Lady Bearcats included Chandler Crowley's second in the 300 hurdles and third in the 100 hurdles; Potts' second in the long jump; and a second in the 4x400 relay ran by Twomey, Midgett, Cliff and Wood.
On the boys side: Alex Rybolt placed second in the 2 mile and fourth in the mile; Zach Lacy took fourth in the shot put; Dylan Heflin placed fifth in the discus; Zach Comstrok placed fifth in the long jump and sixth in the triple jump; Jon Foels placed third in the long jump and fifth in the triple jump; and Austin Richardson placed third in the high jump.
The Dexter track team will next be in action Thursday at the Riverbend Invitational in New Madrid.
