BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- An Aid man is behind bars today following an investigation leading to a drug arrest this week.

Acording to Stoddard County Sheriff Carl Hefner, as a result of an ongoing investigation into illegal drug use in the county, a search warrant was served on a residence near Aid, Mo.

Inside the home, officers located several items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine along with 56 grams of marijuana.

Tom A. McCoy, Jr. was arrested during the search and charged with the Class C felonies of possession of chemicals to create a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.

McCoy is being held in the Stoddard County Jail awaiting a $75,000 cash-only bond. He will appear before Judge Joe Z. Satter-field on Thursday, April 19, 2012, for arraignment.
