Josh Overall threw a complete-game one-hit shutout to lead the Dexter Bearcats to a 8-0 win over Charleston Tuesday at the East Park ball field in Dexter.

It was the third straight win for the Bearcats who improved to 8-3 on the season.

Dexter banged out 12 hits against the struggling Bluejays, who slipped to 1-9 on the season with the loss.

Brad Potts was 3-for-3 at the plate and scored twice, while Alex Cliff went 2-for-4 with two RBI, including a solo home run to lead off the second inning.

D. J. Dowdy was the only other Bearcat with multiple hits, going 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Dexter will be back in action today at New Madrid County Central. The first pitch is scheduled for 4 o'clock.
