The third annual Community Fair to benefit the Stoddard County Relay for Life event will be held this Saturday, April 14 at Dexter's West City Park, where the Relay event is slated to take place on May 4-5.

The Community Fair, sponsored by the Spark of Hope Relay team, will feature local vendors with food, artwork and crafts.

The commitment fee, set at $20 for each exhibitor, will be donated to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event.

The Spark of Hope Relay for Life team is one of 18 teams signed up to participate in the overnight Relay for Life event at West City Park beginning at 5 p.m. on May 4 and continuing throughout the night, with all proceeds going to fund education and cancer research through the American Cancer Society.

Should rain prevent the Community Fair from being held in the park area, vendors will move across the street on to the grounds of the Kenady-Hanks American Legion building.

The Saturday event is slated to begin at 10 a.m. Saturday and run through about 3 p.m. at the park.
