BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- A Tuesday drug bust in rural Dexter resulted in five individuals being

arrested on drug charges.

According to Stoddard County Sheriff Carl Hefner, after an ongoing investigation into illegal drug use in the county, deputies issued a search warrant for a residence in rural Dexter.

Upon serving the warrant, deputies arrested five individuals and seized approximately three grams of methamphetamine. Deputies also located and seized needles, scales and various "smoking devices."

When they entered the residence, county deputies found all five subjects sitting at a table "cutting" the methamphetamine.

The drug paraphernalia found was reportedly sitting at the same table.

Those arrested were:

Mark Cox, 41, of Dexter, charged with the Class A felony of possession of a controlled substance-prior drug offender.

David A. Burnett, 48, of Dexter, charged with the Class A felony of possession of a controlled substance-prior drug offender.

Darren White, 40, of Dexter, charged with the Class A felony of possession of a controlled substance-prior drug offender.

Bradley D. Jackson, 39, of Dexter, charged with the Class A felony of possession of a controlled substance- dangerous offender.

Chasity K. Jackson, 35, of Dexter, charged with the Class A felony of possession of a controlled substance-felony prior drug offender.

All five subjects remain in the custody of the Stoddard County Jail, each under a $75,000 cash-only bond.
