Barbara Sue Walker McMullin, 69, of St. Peters, Mo., died April 4, 2012, following a prolonged illness.
Mrs. McMullin was born on Oct. 10, 1942, in Dexter, Mo. She was the fifth of 12 children born to William Earl and Lvara Walker.
Mrs. McMullin worked for most of her life in the tele-communications industry and loved gardening, crafts, sewing, and doing home improvement projects with her husband. She was a gifted writer and left behind several poems beloved by her family.
Mrs. McMullin is survived by her husband, Roger McMullin; three daughters, Pamela (Jeff) Martinez of Dover, Pa., Penny (Glenn) Norrie of Satellite Beach, Fla., and Dana (Nathan) Lashly of St. Louis, Mo.; one son, Jerry (Cindy) Long of Garden City, Mo.; one stepson, Robert (Christy) McMullin of Dexter, Mo.; five sisters, Tina (John) Wolbert of Delaware, Ohio, Wanda (RC) Cobb of Columbia, Ky.; June (Butch) Bollinger of Bloomfield, Mo.; Judy (Rich) Duncan of Crestview, Fla., and Rita Turner of Leitchfield, Ky.; three brothers, Bill (Shirley) Walker of St. Charles, Mo.; Ralph (Pam) Walker, and Benny (Lesia) Walker, all of Lake Wappapello, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Nolan and Howard, and one sister, Maxine.
The family is being served by The Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, Mo.
The family will hold a private memorial and celebration on Saturday, April 7, 2012, in Bloomfield, Mo.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or American Lung Association.
