BERNIE, Mo. - Four vehicles were involved in a Monday afternoon wreck north of Bernie that left a Wingo, Ky., woman with moderate injuries.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Deborah K. Brannon, 49, the injured party from Kentucky, was southbound on Highway 25, two miles north of Bernie, when she crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2003 Freightliner driven by Jeffrey M. Strange, 47, of Holcomb, Mo. The Brannon vehicle, a 2001 Hyundai, then skidded and struck another southbound truck, a 2002 Inter-national driven by Jerrell E. Jones of Newport, Ark.

A fourth northbound vehicle, a 2001 Accord, driven by Sara A. Dirks, 63, of Malden, veered off the roadway to avoid the accident and struck a ditch.

Brannon was transported by ambulance to Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter for treatment of her injuries. The patrol states she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck, as were all other drivers involved.
