NEW MADRID -- Dexter's Lady Bearcats had little trouble Thursday night against the New Madrid County Lady Eagles.
McKenzie Mitchell had five aces in a opening 25-11 win, then the Lady 'Cats cruised home with a 25-6 decision in the second game to secure the road win.
With the victory, Dexter remained undefeated on the season at 5-0.
Lauren Ward charted a team-high 11 assists in the Game 1 win while Eric Mouser led the team with nine digs.
Game 2 was quick and decisive as Ward added seven digs while Hannah Noe was tops with eight assists for the Lady 'Cats.
Dexter will be in action today and Saturday at the 48-team SEMO Spike volleyball tournament at the Show Me Center and Notre Dame Regional High School in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
