An 18-year-old Dexter High School student, Jessica Litchfield, was injured early Tuesday morning when she lost control of the Jeep she was driving and overturned on County Road 624 about one mile west of One Mile Road. Stoddard County Sheriff's deputies and the Highway Patrol, along with local EMS, responded to the scene. She was taken by ambulance to Missouri Southern Healthcare for treatment of her injuries. Litchfield stated she was avoiding an oncoming vehicle when she lost control of the Jeep, saying she overturned twice and escaped through a window once the vehicle came to rest. The wreck occurred at about 7:10 a.m.
