Bernie teen injured

Morgan E. Hurst, 18, of Bernie, sustained moderate injuries in a Saturday night wreck on Highway 25, five miles south of Dexter, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The wreck occurred when Hurst, at about 10:25 p.m. Saturday, fell asleep at the wheel of her 2008 Honda as she was southbound, ran off the highway and overturned several times. She was taken by private vehicle to Missouri Southern Healthcare for treatment of her injuries.

The patrol report states Hurst was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident.
