Megan and Andrew Stuever of Dexter made it back-to-back mixed pairs titles at Hidden Trails Country Club this past weekend. The defending champions scrambled their way to a round of 5-under-par 67 on Saturday and then held off a Sunday charge by the team of Cheryle Morin and Tim Young with a score of 68 on Sunday to take a one-stroke victory...

Megan and Andrew Stuever of Dexter made it back-to-back mixed pairs titles at Hidden Trails Country Club this past weekend.

The defending champions scrambled their way to a round of 5-under-par 67 on Saturday and then held off a Sunday charge by the team of Cheryle Morin and Tim Young with a score of 68 on Sunday to take a one-stroke victory.

Morin and Young opened the tournament with a round of 2-under-par 70 to trail the leaders by three shots, but carded the best round of the tournament on Sunday with a 66 only to come up one shot shy of forcing a playoff.

In A Flight, the team of Sandy and Jerry Dorton of Dexter took top honors (72-73=145) while Shelia and Darrell Cunningham (75-71=146) and Maria and Nate Stevens (75-71=146) tied for second.

In B Flight, Karla and Ted Jacques took top honors with rounds of 78-72=150 to win by six stokes over the teams of Julia Elder and Jerry Jaeger (79-77=156) and Joy Cook and Jerry Sills (82-74=156).
