The Harty Duck Farm off Highway 51 is an impressive operation. The approximately 200 ducks and chickens are housed in well-maintained houses at night. A storm struck Dexter late Friday afternoon causing damage to some buildings and power outages. A building on Walnut St and the Heartland Furniture building received damage. Ameren Missouri is reporting more than 3,500 in the Dexter area without power on its website. Dexter Police Chief Hank Trout said there were no injuries.
