Dexter Police Dec. 24-25, 2015 At 9:28 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22, Dexter Police arrested William E. Grubb, 34, of Poplar Bluff, on a Butler County warrant for passing bad checks. Bond was set at $5,000. He was also arrested on a Ripley County warrant for passing bad checks. Bond was set at $500. Grubb was transferred to the Butler County Jail...

Although it has been two years since the city of Dexter has been collecting a sales tax on vehicles purchased out of state, the issue which was approved by voters may have to soon return again to the ballot.
