DEXTER, Mo. - The Dexter varsity girls tennis team increased its win total to double digits with an 8-1 home victory against Sikeston Wednesday afternoon. "The girls came out ready to play," Dexter coach Kurt Lovelady said. "We were moving the ball well and we got some lopsided victories. We had some matches that were close that I knew would be close, but I was pleased with the results. We've had a hard week so far and it doesn't get any easier Thursday."...

Clarence Franklin "Frank" Von Ruedgisch, 67, of Dexter, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014, at Golden Living Center, in Malden. Mr. Von Ruedgisch was born in Dexter on Nov. 6, 1946, to Fred and Margaret McFarlen Parker Von Ruedgisch. He had worked in the construction business as an electrician and retired from the military, serving his country in the United States Navy and the United States Army during the Vietnam War. ...
