Dexter band students excel at All District auditions in Jackson

On Tuesday, Nov. 5, students from both Dexter High School and T.S. Hill Middle School, under the direction of Scott Rybolt and Jim Wade, traveled to Jackson, Mo. for the annual All District Band auditions. "Our Dexter students performed extraordinarily well," said Rybolt, "with 16 students from high school named to All District." Perhaps most noteworthy is that 17 students from the middle school level made the grade, which is the greatest number of students in the history of the school to be named to the All District Band. ...

SEMO News Service NEW MADRID, Mo. -- A woman driving a stolen Highway Patrol vehicle rammed two New Madrid County Sheriff' vehicles before being taken into custody.
