A Puxico man sustained serious injuries Monday morning when he lost control of his motorcycle on a blacktop county road northwest of Dexter. According to the Highway Patrol, Jackson W. Conner, 25, was northbound in the southbound lane of County Road 437 when he laid the bike over on its right side. He was driving a 2005 Harley Davidson 1200 Sportster. The bike sustained only minor damage, but Conner was seriously hurt and was airlifted to St. Francis Medical Center in St. Francis for treatment...

The Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis held on Saturday was considered by those involved to have been a huge success. A total of $2,200 was raised, making it the walk's most successful year to date. Organizers credited Bloomfield's Town & Country with supplying bottled water for the 41 participants in the annual walk that raises funds for research with hopes of finding a cure for the disease...
