Larry Joe Averett, son of the late Kenneth William Averett, Sr. and Gussie Westerfield Averett, was born on June 23, 1940, in Cape Girar-deau and died at the residence of his sister near Dexter on Nov. 8, 2012, at the age of 72. Mr. Averett was a member of the Hot Springs Village Church of Christ, a former sales representative for the Levi Strauss Company in the Kansas City area and was named the most outstanding Sales Representative of the Year. ...

Helen Maurie Jolly, 92, of Fisk, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Winchester Place Assisted Living in Bernie, Mo. Mrs. Jolly was born Sept. 23,1920, in Puxico, Mo. She had lived at Fisk since 1941. She was a member of Fisk Presbyterian Church. On Sept. 24,1941 she married Bradley Jolly. He preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 2005...
