By NOREEN HYSLOP Managing Editor An 82-year-old Bloomfield man lost his life Thursday morning when he tried to stop an unoccupied vehicle from rolling backward. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Audie Maze was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident around 9 a.m. The accident occurred at 13073 Hwy. 25 North in Dexter. The location is just outside the Dexter city limits on the west side of Highway 25...

If voters Nov. 6 were to take their cue from the recent mock election conducted at Dexter High School, there would be a Republican landslide victory. Following a 23-year long tradition, local students were afforded the privilege of casting their votes on Tuesday in a mock election. The students are provided with the ballots identical to those that voters will be provided on Election Day...

Tracie Dawn Willard, daughter of Glenda Martin, was born in Sheffield, Ala., on July 14, 1970, and died at Missouri Southern Healthcare on Oct. 12, 2012, at the age of 42. She was a former resident of Puxico and a homemaker. Survivors include her mother, Glenda Martin of Ill.; one son, Harold Willard III of Bloomfield; two daughters, Felicia Reynolds of Puxico and Morgan Willard of Bloomfield; one brother, Claude Martin of Ill.; one sister, Sheryl Phyler; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her companion, Cindy Lou.. ...

James Arnold Toner, 81, of Rogersville, Mo., died Oct. 11, 2012. He was born Aug. 5, 1931, in Boonville, Mo., the son of the late James Victor and Mayme Marie (Arnold) Toner.
