Public meeting tonight to decide fate of Girl Scout Center

A meeting is slated for 6:30 Tuesday night at Dexter's United Methodist Church on S. Walnut Street to discuss the future or possible closing of Dexter's Girl Scout location due to cost restraints. MoDOT waives fee for moving wide hay loads through Dec. 31

JEFFERSON CITY -- Severe weather throughout Missouri and surrounding states has prompted a special hauling permit to help farmers move hay as needed for livestock. The permit will allow for the movement of wider loads through Dec. 31 of this year.
