Carol Adams, 69, of Dexter, Mo., died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at her residence. Mrs. Adams was born Nov. 20, 1942, in Fisk, Mo. She had lived at Dexter for 15 years and had worked at Tyson Foods and Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center. Survivors include her mother, Helen Hufstedler of Dexter; one son, Charles Edward Adams of Dexter; four brothers, Danny Tippen of Dexter, Tom Tippen and John Tippen, both of Poplar Bluff, and David Tippen of Wappapello; two sisters, Joyce Huggins of Corning, Ark., and Lois Orr of Norman, Okla.; three grandchildren, John Lopez and fiancée Angela Helton, Brittany March, and Joseph Lopez; and five great-grandchildren, Tyler Lopez, Jaycie March, Kaylei Adams, Kiana Lopez, and Joey Lopez, Jr.. ...

There's still time to sign up for Bearcat Boys Basketball Summer Camp 2012. The four-day camp will be held at the Bearcat Event Center and begin on June 25th (Monday) and run through June 28th (Thursday), according to camp officials.
