Opal "Gene" Sims, daughter of the late William Steven and Nannie Belle Farish Clay, was born in Winston County, Miss., on April 19,1925, and died at The Manor in Poplar Bluff, Mo. on March 1, 2012, at the age of 86. Opal had been a resident Milledgeville, Ga., and moved to Dexter 35 years ago and then to Poplar Bluff seven years ago. Mary Burdine Pearcy was born July 24, 1944 and died Feb. 18, 2012 at her residence in Phoenix, Ariz., at the age of 68. Mary is the daughter of Alma Fulkerson Lewis and the late Clyde Burdine.
