When the Dexter School Board proposed a bond issue to voters in 2007, they did so with a commitment to maintain the district's tax levy at the existing rate. The board agreed during their annual Tax Rate Hearing this week to continue with that commitment, setting the levy once again at $3.32, where it has been for the past 12 years...

The city completed the annexation of two different properties at the Monday night meeting of the Dexter Board of Aldermen. A public hearing was held at the prior meeting, as required by law, to inform the public of the requested changes and give time for anyone to raise objections if they wish...
