Nelta Fae Grossius, daughter of the late James F. Grimes and Geneva A. Zolman Grimes, was born on Jan. 9, 1937, in Arbyrd, Mo., and died on Aug. 2, 2015, at SoutheastHEALTH Center of Stoddard County in Dexter at the age of 78.

Mrs. Grossius was a homemaker and a resident of Dexter.

She is survived by four sons, Bryon Grossius of Dexter, Jason Grossius of Williamsville, Mo., Curtis Grossius of O'Fallon, Mo., and Greg Grossius of Naples, Fla.; one daughter, Sherrie Taylor of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Benny Grimes of Owensville, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Andrea Grossius, John Taylor, Christopher Taylor, Shannon Morris, Danielle Morris, Cadence Pullam, Clara Pullam and Gerlynn Grossius and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Barry Winders officiating.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.
