Mack Creed Jones, son of the late Elmer Louis Jones and Emma Louise McAllister Jones, of Malden, was born Aug. 17, 1953, in Gideon, Mo., and died May 5, 2012, in the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark., at the age of 57.
He had been a car salesman for approximately 35 years, with 11 years at Glen Sain of Kennett. He was a member of the Poplar Bluff Masonic Lodge #209, a member of the Three Rivers Shriner's Club, where he had served as past president, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Malden.
Mr. Jones was married to Verna Smith Jones on Jan. 3, 1977. Surviving are his wife, Verna Jones of Malden; two sons, Art Jones and wife Jill, of Cape Girardeau, and Jarrad Keating of Hornersville; a daughter, Brittney Keating of Poplar Bluff; and one grandson, Brycen Jones.
Also surviving are two brothers, Kenneth Jones and wife Glenna, of Millington, Tenn.; and Gill Jones and wife Laverne, of Campbell; two sisters, Elizabeth Kimmons and husband, Clark, of Marion, Ark., and Brenda Howell and husband Billy, of West Memphis, Ark.; his mother-in-law, Diane Smith of Arbyrd and father-in-law, Joe Smith, also of Arbyrd; a brother-in-law, Bobby Smith and wife Brenda, of Senath; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at 6 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Malden with Bill Hampton officiating.
