Joyce Ann Mickey

Joyce Ann Mickey, daughter of the late Cecil Ray Burch and Lucille Bilderback Burch was born on Sept. 4, 1944, in rural Essex and died on Sept. 5, 2015, at the SoutheastHEALTH Center of Stoddard County at the age of 71.

Mrs. Mickey was a member of the Bernie Church of Christ. She was a resident of Bernie and a home-maker.

On April 25, 1967, she was united in marriage to Glendall "Sonny" Mickey at Bernie. Mr. Mickey preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 2010.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Mickey and wife, Mary Ellen of St. Louis and Kevin Mickey and wife, Holly of Bernie; six brothers, Bob Burch of Wappapello; Glen Burch, Don Burch, Doyle Burch, Carl Joe Burch and Danny Burch all of Bernie; three sisters, Janet Whitehead of Wappapello; Linda Lucy of Trinity, N. C., and Loretta Carson of Campbell; eight grandchildren, Sara Orr and husband, Russell, Alyson Mickey, Owen Mickey, Logan Wagoner, Garrett Wagoner, Hannah Barber, Kate Gilmore and Hailey Gertsch and by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held at the Bernie Church of Christ on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the Bernie Church of Christ with Stan Dauck and Brian Mickey officiating. Interment followed in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
