The 86th Stoddard County Fair is right around the corner.
Kicking off the annual event will be the Stoddard County Fair Parade next Tuesday, Sept. 17 beginning at 5:30 p.m. The parade runs from Harps Food Store on the west end of Stoddard Street through downtown to the Post Office.
The midway at the County Fairgrounds will open at 6 p.m. with the Fair Queen Pageant on the main stage right after the parade's conclusion.
In Arena A after the parade there will be a Chicken Catching event and Youth Games.
At 6:30 p.m. Magic Mike will make his first appearance on the midway. Magic Mike will be found entertaining throughout Fair Week beginning at 6:30 nightly.
The Justin Heskitt Band will be performing on the midway beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Sept. 18, the judging of sheep and goats will commence at 6 p.m., with church services on the midway also beginning at 6.
On the midway at 7 p.m. Wednesday will be Fuse Worship with Tyler Feller and Kryst Lyke.
On Thursday, Sept. 19, the cattle, hogs and equine judging will take place in Arena A at 6 p.m. In Arena A at 7 p.m. the FFA Tractor Rodeo will be held.
Also at 7 p.m. Thursday will be Karaoke in Arena B.
On the midway beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday will be entertainment by the local band, Flashback.
Thursday is Bracelet Night when a one-time fee of $20 grants attendees ride privileges from 6 until 10 p.m.
On Friday, Sept. 20, an Antique Tractor Pull will take place in Arena A at 7 p.m. In Arena B at 7 p.m. Karaoke will take place once again.
On the midway at 7 p.m. will be Blackjack Billy.
On Saturday, Sept. 21, the Buyers Breakfast will take place at 8 a.m., preceding the 4-H and FFA Livestock Auction beginning at 9 a.m. in the livestock barns.
The Stoddard County Youth Pageant will beheld on the main stage Saturday at 10 a.m.
The 4-H/FFA Public Speaking Contest will take place on the main stage at 3 p.m. Saturday, with Youth events in Arena B beginning at 3 p.m.
At 7 p.m. Saturday in Arena A, the Demolition Derby will begin. In Arena B at 7 p.m. there will be Karaoke once again.
On the midway from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Maggie Thorn will perform, and Anna Katherine DeHart will perform from 8 until 10 p.m.
On Sunday, Sept. 22, all livestock should be checked out between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Exhibits must be picked up between noon and 4 p.m. in Exhibit Barn A.
