A Fall into Reading event was held at Dexter's West Park by the Dexter, Bloomfield, and Richland PAT organization on Tuesday evening. Children kindergarten and younger were able to walk a path and read a story with their parent/guardian. The path was originally going to go along the walking trail but was moved under a pavilion due to rain. The children also were able to build bracelets out of twigs, leaves, and other nature items found in the park. The PAT provided the children with free books at the event as well. The PAT believes the best way to prepare a child for school is to read to them.
