Thanksgiving Parade at Southwest Elementary

Southwest students participated in many activities on Monday and Tuesday this week. Second graders in Andrea Galloway, Rebekah Massey, and Melanie Keena’s classes read the story, Balloons Over Broadway on Tuesday. It is a biography about Tony Sarg the puppeteer behind Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade written by Melissa Sweet. Students were then given the opportunity to construct their own balloons and travel around the school in their own Thanksgiving parade.
