United States Army Veteran Charles Mitchell from Perryville, currently a resident at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, was credited with the catch of the day at Thursday's Veterans Fishing Day at Bloomfield's Missouri State Veterans Cemetery. The event is hosted by Kenady-Hanks In the first photo in this gallery, American Legion Post 59 of Dexter three times annually and concludes with a fish fry furnished by the Legion on the grounds of the Veterans Cemetery. Along with Legion members and cemetery staff, Department of Conservation staff representing six counties were on hand to assist the veterans. Mitchell's catfish was estimated to weigh in at around 11 pounds.
