With their right hands raised Tuesday night, Aaron Mathis and Preston Clark swore the Dexter R-XI Board of Education oath of office.

Superintendent Amy James dissolved the existing board. Then, a copy of the certified election results were projected on the pull down screen. The following vote count was determined: Mathis (628), Clark (454) and Taylor Joyner (372) votes.

James requested a move “to nominate a new president.” Without delay, Mathis moved to nominate Nancy Mayer as president. After receiving board approval, Mayer took control of the board reorganization.

Mayer requested “a motion to nominate a vice president.” Mathis moved to nominate Ben Worley as vice president. Worley received unanimous board approval.

Mayer requested “a motion to nominate a treasurer.” Worley moved to nominate Saren Demaree as treasurer. Demaree received unanimous board approval.

All board members were present.
