CAPE GIRARDEAU – Saint Francis Foundation recently hosted its first Mobile Wellness Day of Caring event of 2024 in Hayti, Mo. Mobile Wellness provided walk-in mammograms to 19 area residents. Saint Francis Foundation grilled lunch for 160 residents, distributed free food, hygiene kits, paper towels and more than 1,600 diapers to more than 200 families. The event is just one of ten dates planned for this year.
During Mobile Wellness Days of Caring, the Foundation distributes food, hygiene kits, diapers and various household items donated by Procter & Gamble Cape Girardeau and other local partners including Drury Southwest Foundation, Bank of Advance, First Midwest Bank, First State Community Bank and Midwest Sterilization.
Procter & Gamble Cape Girardeau Plant Manager Robert Cisneros shared, “P&G Cape is honored to partner with Saint Francis and support this very important initiative, which enables healthy Moms and families across our region.” Saint Francis Healthcare System’s President and CEO, Justin Davison stated, “We are deeply grateful for Procter & Gamble’s support and all the companies joining us in our commitment to provide hope and wellness to our neighbors across southeast Missouri. Delivering these much needed goods and services directly to communities and families that need them is one important way our healing ministry impacts lives.”
The next Mobile Wellness Day of Caring is scheduled for Monday, April 22, at the First Baptist Church, located at 300 St. Francis Street in Kennett.
