The Swinton Christian Church will host its annual reunion Sunday, October 6 at approximately noon. The church was organized and the building was constructed in 1904. The building underwent extensive repairs in early 2000. Some original members of the church included members of the Bess, Martin, Frye, Cox and Swindell families. Theses families lived in the Swinton area and still have descendants that live in and around Stoddard County. Former members, families, residents of the ares along with neighbors and friends are cordially invited to attend. The meeting will begin with a basket dinner followed by a brief business meeting. Gospel singing will be presented by Harold and Toni Wheatley and the Ringer Hill Sisters. The Rev. Charles Woodard will deliver the sermon.
